Hmmm. Virtue ethics. As usual, The sniper strikes with elite tongue. I'm reminded of my readings in Ghazali's 'Mustasfa' about the logical expositions on what is good, bad and the fallacy of how it morphs with inclination towards a certain perceived benefits/advantages. How can 'good' and 'evil' be objective and with generally accepted definitions?
Okay, I need to brush up on my Ghazali, but I appreciate the anti-utilitarian sentiment. Moral objectivity can be objective when they are derived from intuition, which can be empirically observed in action by the common agreement of individuals across landscapes and timescapes. This is the school of intuitionism, and it is the base of monotheistic faiths.
I absolutely loved reading this…
My brain has… “eaten”?
Glad I could provide some nourishment 😁
